Part of my efforts to build an author platform is to make my work available as widely as possible, and I’ve found a great venue for that: Wattpad.

I’ve just published my first post there, a horror short story. Check it out here:

The Faith Healer

For those of you who don’t know, Wattpad is essentially a YouTube for writers. Anyone can create an account and start posting stories. Anyone can also peruse through stories and give comments and feedback. Unlike YouTube, it doesn’t appear to be a hive for trolls and Nazis.

If you’ve already heard of Wattpad, chances are you’ve heard it’s a site where people dump reams of One Direction fan fiction. While that is certainly a big component, many new and established authors are using the serialized format of its story posts to build their audience. Some authors have even experienced mainstream success with novels that were originally serialized on Wattpad.

I’m intending to publish works of mine that don’t seem to be a good fit for publishing elsewhere. I’m also planning to use it to release a large excerpt from Sparrow Squadron ahead of the publication date.

If you’re on Wattpad, please swing on by and follow me for updates.
